Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: I bought one program, why was I charged $15 on my card?
A: If you look at your account again you will see that is an authorization and not a charge. It's how we verify your your card is valid. See the Billing page for more details

Q: When I click on "Download" the racing program does not appear?
A: You probably do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. See PC Requirements for Acrobat. To be sure Acrobat is working correctly try to view the sample programs on the Products page

Q: I'm new, what kind of PC should I buy?
A: We recommend Compaq, HP or Gateway with an Intel Pentium. The Gateway store is a nice place to visit and more helpful then your local retailer. A laser printer will produce the best output, HP is a good choice.

How to Signup as a New User:

  1. Click on the Big Red button on the top left labeled "Members Entrance"
  2. Click on the button named "Click here to Join"
  3. Enter your name, address and other data.
  4. Write down your user name and password.

How to Login:

  1. Click on the Big Red button on the top left named "Members Entrance"
  2. Enter your Customer ID and Password
  3. (If you are a new user press the button "Click here to join" and enter your data)
  4. After you are logged in a page showing your current shopping cart is displayed
  5. At the bottom of that page is a list of cards you have bought recently that you may download again.

How to Select Programs to Buy:
  1. Click on the big Magenta (Red/purple) button at the top of the page labeled "Harness Racing"
  2. This will list the Harness Programs we have for Today
  3. For other days click on the links in the middle of the page labeled: Today, Tomorrow, Next Day
  4. To buy a program click on the Checkbox next to the program track name, the heading above the box says "Buy"
  5. Press the "Add to Cart Button"
  6. Your shopping cart listing the programs you picked is displayed
  7. To pick more programs click on the "Continue Shopping" link
  8. To buy what you've picked press the "Checkout" button

How to Checkout (Buy the programs you Selected):
  1. From any page click the "View Cart Contents" link
  2. Click on the "Checkout" button
  3. The Checkout page will be displayed
  4. Enter all the Credit Card information on the top half of the window
  5. Or if you have bought before we have a faster way, at the bottom of the page enter the last four digits of a card you used and your password for HorseRacingPrograms.com
  6. Press the "Buy Now" button
  7. Your charge card will be validated
  8. The "Race Cards Available for Download" page will display listing all of the cards you bought
  9. To download the Race Program PDFs click on the "Download" links on the right
  10. You may also download the programs you have recently bought. They are listed after you login.

How to Download and Install Adobe Acrobat Reader:
  1. Click on our Product page link to get to the Adobe download page
  2. Follow the instructions at Adobe's site for download and install
  3. You must Run the Acrobat Installer after you download it
  4. Install all features including any web ActiveX's or options
  5. To test your Adobe install go to our products page and try to view the Sample Programs.

I can't download. Or a page won't load or work correctly:
You should clean out (delete) your Internet Temporary Files.
  1. Close ALL windows then open an Internet Explorer
  2. Click on the Tools menu
  3. Click on the last item "Internet Options..."
  4. This will open the "Internet Options" Window
  5. In the middle of the window is a box labeled "Temporary Interent Files"
  6. In the middle of that is a button labeled "Delete Files", push it
  7. A "Delete Files" confirmation window opens, push OK
  8. You are returned to the Internet "Options" window
  9. Push Ok. Try our site again

After Login shows Page Cannot Be Displayed error or Internal Server Error 500:
This can occur if you are using a browser other than Microsoft Internet Explorer e.g. NetScape, Mozilla, SBC-Yahoo Browser or AOL Browser. To see what browser you are using select the Help menu and then About... It should say "Internet Explorer". If it does not say "Internet Explorer" push your Start button, find "Internet Explorer" in the programs and try using it.
